Christine O'Donnell's background and education
Christine O'Donnell was one of six children born to an Italian-American family. She attended Fairleigh Dickinson University, but failed to complete the required coursework and had unpaid tuition bills when she left the college in 1993. She would finally complete her degree, a bachelor of arts in English & Communications, in September 2010, just weeks before receiving the Republican nomination for Senate. She had claimed to be a university graduate in the 17 years in between.
UPDATE 10/1/10: It has now surfaced that O'Donnell not only claimed to be a college graduate for the past 2 decades, but she has also claimed she went to Oxford University, one of the most prestigious colleges in the world. She has made this claim not only on her LinkedIn profile but also on job applications, according to former employers.
O'Donnell's adult life has been marred by debt and tax issues. She still reportedly owes over $10,000 in back taxes. She is staying true to the Tea Party motto of lower taxes by not paying her own. She is in tune with our current financial times because she has defaulted on her mortgage. Although she once worked as a marketing consultant, she currently claims to be working "odd jobs" to make ends meet. She claimed an income of $5,800 last year, which is exactly what my teenage sister made working a part-time summer job as a lifeguard.
Christine O'Donnell policies
Christine O'Donnell supports the following policy positions:
- Anti-abortion in all circumstances, including instances of rape.
- Pro-gun rights. She is supported by the NRA.
- Anti-masturbation. I'm not sure how this falls under policy, but she seems to bring it up a lot on the campaign. It's unclear at this time if she intends to pass legislation to enforce her belief that this is a sin.
What else does Christine O'Donnell believe in?
Christine O'Donnell believes that her political opponents follow her home at night and hide in her bushes. She has staff members search her shrubbery and nearby cars for people each morning before leaving the house. To date, they have turned up zero people, but that number could be on the rise.
She also believes that taking prayer and the Bible out of schools has caused school shootings to increase to a point where they are happening just about every week. She has not identified where the weekly school shootings are taking place, but evidence indicates it could be somewhere between El Dorado and the lost city of Atlantis.
Christine O'Donnell quotes
"We took the bible and prayer out of public schools, and now we're having weekly shootings practically"
"They have a losing track record. If they're too lazy to put in the effort that we need to win, then so be it." - O'Donnell (who has lost on the Delaware GOP ticket multiple times in the past) on Delaware Republican's reluctance to support her candidacy
“I don’t ever think I ever said I won two out of three counties." - Christine O'Donnell
"I was the 2008 endorsed candidate against Joe Biden and I won in two counties.” - Chrstine O'Donnell, in a conversation taped earlier than the previous quote.
- O'Donnell: You know that probably was, you’re on the campaign trail a lot, I meant tied.
- Interviewer: You didn't tie him either. Look at the results: He beat you. He won in votes. You know that.
Other controversial Christine O'Donnell personal views
Christine O'Donnell does not support embryonic stem cell research. She also does not support research into cloning monkeys.
She supports the teaching of creationism in public schools. She has been critical of the theory of evolution, which she reminds everyone is "just a theory".
Despite evidence to the contrary, O'Donnell believes that homosexuals have an identity disorder created by societal factors. For this reason, O'Donnell has not been a strong supporter of gay rights.
UPDATE: Christine O'Donnell Under Investigation
The non-partisan group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington has asked Delaware authorities to investigate Christine O'Donnell's finances after it was revealed that she had been spending campaign funds for personal use, in violation of federal law. The Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington is the same group that uncovered improprieties with Democratic representative Charles Rangel's dealings with donors.
CREW has found that O'Donnell used campaign funds to pay for rent, gas, food, and even a bowling outing.

UPDATE: CHRISTINE O'DONNELL HAS BEEN DEFEATED!
Delaware voters made a clear decision on Tuesday night that they do not want Christine O'Donnell representing them in the Senate. She lost to Coons by 18%, a considerable margin considering the celebrity status she attained during the campaign and with the big endorsement she got from Sarah Palin.
O'Donnell was excited despite her loss, and with good reason. She's struggled with money in recent years and this campaign has made her into a celebrity. She'll now be able to make more with one speaking engagement than she used to make in 5 years (according to the tax returns she's filed). Also, expect her to sign a book deal and maybe even get her own reality show. She may have become a household name by acting like a buffoon, but after all she's gained from this campaign you can be sure she'll be back running for office again.

I accept your challenge. Christine O'Donnell is neither a crook or a career politician. With both houses of Congress infested with both, not to mention the tax cheats and Marxists filling key positions in the Obama administration, O'Donnell may be over-qualified. When you've hit rock bottom like American politics has, Christine O'Donnell and her fellow conservatives are more needed than ever. In your rebuttal please explain how Al Franken and Harry Reid are qualified to be U.S. Senators.
How can you say Franken and Reid are the right people to fix our financial problems when every vote they cast puts us deeper in debt and closer to the precipice? Harry Reid does understand the work it takes to become a career politician; bribery, lack of ethics, and a total disregard for the people he is supposed to be representing. Conservatism will fix what's wrong with America and whether you like it or not, Nov. 2 will be a techtonic shift in that direction.
Conservatism IS the problem with America.
Love it, the comedic tone makes it as enjoyable as reading about this nutjob. Just found an article in the 2006 Cape Gazette that thought she was such a nut they used her quote for the quote of the week. She was asked about how her write-in campagin would affect the Republican on the ticket, she said it wouldn't affect the Republican Candidate because he was a liberal, her voters are Christian Conservatives. So, this I don't believe in lying candidate, just used the biggest lie of them all. She ran under the GOP ticket, when she doesn't consider herself a Republican, she considers herself a "Christian Conservative."
All indications are that she is just not a terribly bright girl. I have no doubt she spent campaign money incorrectly, as i don't think she has any idea what the rules are or that they even apply to sweet little christian non-masturbating girls like herself.
It is amazing how anyone who opposes Obamas liberal antics is under invetigation yet the thugs that work as hius Tsars and don't pay taxes are somehow exempt. Christine O'Donnell had a pro bono client and a literal life or death situation with aforementioned client and she chose to continue representing him although working for free on his behalf placed her in dire financial straits. When she fel behind in her mortgage she sold her house and paid her debts and continued with her client. How many liberals would do that?
Geez, like we don't have enough in Obama's camp
O'Donnell is but one of several unqualified, incompetent, Tea Tard looneys who are destroying the GOP. Others include Michelle Bachman, Sharron Angle and Carl Paladino.
She is simply an opportunist that is attempting to ride the coat tails of a popular movement. I'm glad the people saw past her BS.

very venomous and poignant. The quotes at the end were a nice touch. The data on her life experience was very to the point and gave the article the necessary meat so as to not appear as ad-hominid. Very nice article. A couple of specific foot notes referencing sources would make this dossier iron clad.
