How to solve a Rubix Cube and look like a genius

There are some methods you can use to solve any Rubik's cube. There are even complex algorithms developed by a math professor at Binghamton University that math geniuses use to solve Rubik's cubes with remarkable speed (under 20 seconds for cube turners). We won't go into the complex stuff, but you can easily learn how to solve a Rubik's cube in a matter of minutes that will impress your friends and have strangers thinking you're a genius.

First, figure out how to make a white cross, or plus sign (+). You need to make this white cross so that there is 2 green squares connecting to the white cross on an adjacent side (perpendicular to the white side). On the side adjacent to the green side, you should have 2 red squares in the middle column connecting to that same white cross on the adjacent side.

The white side is going to be the first side we solve. We already have the cross, so that's 5 squares on the white side. Now we need to get the corners over to that side. You'll get better and better at this part as you practice.

I could tell you that the next step is to solve the middle layer and then the final layer, but it's sort of hard to put into words exactly how that's done. I'm going to include several videos for you to study carefully. Even though your Rubik's Cube will have colors in different places, the principles are the same.
